The Black Widow Foundation was formed in 2014 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization. The Black Widow Foundation is committed to the positive development of personal character and leadership skill sets of aspiring youth amateur and professional billiards players, as well as, supporting the positive development of at risk youth and individuals facing difficult life challenges. The foundation was established through the vision of Jeanette Lee, “The Black Widow,” to assist aspiring junior billiards players, at risk youth, and individuals facing difficult life circumstances to live life in a more meaningful and rewarding way. As one of the most famous pocket billiards players in the history of the sport, Jeanette’s desire to leverage her success for the purpose of helping others live a better life has been the primary inspiration for the Black Widow Foundation. Jeanette has been the number one ranked player in the world, won numerous tournaments throughout the world, and participated in a host of charitable causes throughout the years. She is now a member of both the WPBA and the BCA Halls of Fame. It was her hard work that made this foundation possible. Her generosity, and that of her corporate sponsors, will allow the foundation to provide funds and activities to help promote billiards of the highest standard among our youth; and also to provide grants for a wide variety of charitable organizations.
The mission of the Black Widow Foundation is to positively develop personal character and leadership skill sets of aspiring youth billiards players, as well as, supporting the positive development of at risk youth and individuals facing difficult life challenges.
The vision of the Black Widow Foundation is that:
- Aspiring youth amateur and professional billiards players have developed the character, leadership, and critical thinking skill sets needed to live a life of personal and professional success;
- At risk youth and individuals facing difficult life challenges have access to opportunities that will position them for success in overcoming either economic, physical, and/or personal life challenges.
